This article was also coaxed into writing by a big shot who offered me a "charity" offer, haha. First of all, thank you to this big shot! Although it's supposed to be a fan-favorite initiative, there are many other things I've talked about that I've been tempted to do with "charity," but it also depends on whether it's worth writing about. If I talk about something too obscure, the fans won't like it. So, after thinking about who to feature next in the "Character Profile" series, Satsuki Mei was a very good choice, mainly because she's recently been embroiled in an indefinite work hiatus. (This article was written before she was hospitalized, so the timeliness might be a bit off. If you've seen the videos on my Lei Station that weren't approved and were posted on other platforms, you'll know that Satsuki Mei was ranked 7th in the 2022 actress sales chart, and she remained firmly in the top 10 in the first month of 2023. It's been an incredibly successful start. But then she announced an indefinite work hiatus, which is truly heartbreaking. Many people say that like Aoi Sora and Asuka Kirara, once she stops, she doesn't want to go anymore and might not come back. I originally did a lot of analysis here, but then I saw that she recently said she would definitely come back, so all those analyses are useless. She's not like Grandma Natto who doesn't dare to update, nor is she like He Tongxue who's holding back a lot of work. She's just like a white rat...) That's just laziness. So why does she want to rest? Personally, I think it's because the work pace has been too tiring all along. Although I only watched anime up to August of last year, two people's high productivity last year was obvious: Hana and Satsuki Mei. Perhaps because of the new regulations, quite a few people have recently retired or changed jobs, probably because they can't handle the fast pace of work. Her own explanation is that her ranking dropped, so she's taking a break. But a few days ago, Satsuki Mei said that she started working for the first time this year and felt very happy. The idea of taking a break, fading out, or retiring has vanished. She even feels that working with male actors is really great when she hears the director yell "action." She has decided to ignore the negative...
